South Down/Long Bay 2018 FIREWORKS

The fun begins at 5pm – DJ Music, Games, Ice Cream – with Fireworks Display at Dusk.
Rain date will be Sunday, July 1st

Fireworks - Intro at 9pm and Full at 9:10pm

Music – A DJ will be located in the center part of the Green Belt from 6pm to 10pm and will be available to support recreational activities and take special requests.

Games with prizes as follows:

            - Corn Hole Toss 5pm to 6:30pm.

            - Bocci Ball 5pm to 8pm.

            - Cupcake Decorating 5pm to 5:30pm.

Ice Cream – An ice cream truck will be parked on site from 7pm to 8:30pm. We’ve arranged for a discounted rate of $2 per ice cream treat, so bring CASH with you!

Parking – The center parking lot WATER SIDE is totally reserved for only Handicap Cars to view the fireworks. All other cars for this event may park on the water side of Davidson Drive and must NOT obstruct any intersections or driveways. Any that do, will be towed at the owners expense. Two way traffic will be allowed on Davidson Drive this year.

Golf Carts – NOTE: for this event duration (5pm to 11pm) all golf carts must stay on paved surfaces at all times and are NOT permitted on the grass. Also, ALL Golf carts will obey the rules of the road, just like a car, while operating in South Down.

Boaters – All boats will be removed by 6pm from the mooring field between the end of the dock and the beach jetty. No boat will be allowed to anchor within 200 Yards (2 football fields) of the launching barge. As last year, the Marine Patrol will be patrolling the area and taking appropriate action with violators.

Bathrooms – Two porta potties will be available next to the current handicap sign in the last parking lot. They will be marked “Mens” “Womens” and “Handicapped” please observe these distinctions. Boat Club and Beach House bathrooms will also be open for use.

Personal Fireworks - Fireworks of any kind are strictly prohibited at this event. Please note that a Laconia Police Officer will be patrolling the Green Space during this event to ensure everyone’s safety.
